Burgruine Taggenbrunn, Medieval castle ruins in Sankt Georgen am Längsee, Austria.

The stone fortress stands at 616 meters elevation, featuring defensive walls and a central tower overlooking the Carinthian landscape.

Built in 1142 by Tagenus von Pongau for the Archdiocese of Salzburg, the castle served as the residence of Carinthian governors until the 15th century.

The Taggenbrunner Festival presents classical music performances and opera productions within the restored castle walls since 2019.

Visitors reach the castle via a 40-meter lift, and children over 1.20 meters tall can experience the 100-meter sliding track.

The site includes a 500-square-meter trampoline park and houses the largest Jacques Lemans watch store in the region.
