Vienna City Hall

Vienna City Hall is an administrative building designed in the Gothic Revival style with a distinctive central tower. The structure contains multiple inner courtyards and numerous rooms that serve the city's municipal functions.

The building was constructed in the second half of the 19th century to meet the city's growing administrative needs. It replaced earlier municipal structures and became a symbol of Vienna's modern governance.

Atop the central tower stands an iron figure of a standard bearer that gives the building its distinctive visual accent. This statue is barely visible from ground level, but from many parts of the city it contributes to the building's recognizable silhouette.
