Gedrechter, Mountain summit in Tyrol, Austria.
Gedrechter is a mountain summit in the Tux Alps in eastern Tyrol that rises to approximately 2,200 meters elevation. From the top you can see across wide alpine meadows and the surrounding rock faces that shape the ridge.
The mountain is part of the geological structures of the Tux Alps, which formed over millions of years through tectonic forces and erosion. The ridge bears the marks of these natural processes that shaped the eastern Tyrolean landscape.
Local mountaineering groups maintain several marked trails to Gedrechter's summit, preserving traditional Alpine hiking routes for generations.
The moderate hike starts from Kaltenbacher Skihütte and takes roughly an hour and a half to reach the summit. The terrain varies with the season, and paths can be muddy in spring and autumn.
From the summit you can see both the Wimbachkopf and the gently descending valleys of eastern Tyrol. This position makes the peak a good vantage point to grasp the wider geography of the region in one view.
