Birthplace of Franz Liszt, Museum in Raiding, Austria.
The birthplace of Franz Liszt features six rooms, a kitchen with a pantry, and a pressing room within a stone building structure.
The building originated as part of an early baroque estate owned by the Esterházy family, who acquired the property between 1806 and 1808.
The museum collection includes an organ from the old church and a bust of Franz Liszt created by sculptor Kaspar Zumbusch.
The museum remains closed for renovations until spring 2025, with events continuing at the adjacent Liszt-Zentrum concert hall.
A modern concert venue with 600 seats, built in 2006, received the Burgenland Architecture Prize in 2008 for its acoustic design.
