Rollettmuseum, Regional history museum in Baden, Austria
The Rollettmuseum occupies 350 square meters within a former town hall building, displaying collections of natural specimens, antiquities, and historical artifacts.
Founded by physician Anton Rollett in the early 1800s, this institution stands as the oldest museum in Lower Austria, with its first guestbook entry from 1810.
The museum hosts the Baden town archives and features exhibits about local wine production, including Celtic tools and traditional winemaking equipment through centuries.
Located at Weikersdorfer Platz 1, the museum staff responds to inquiries Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM by phone or email.
The museum contains an extensive collection of skulls and anatomical specimens from Franz Joseph Gall, who developed theories about brain function and personality traits.
