Schloss Liechtenstein

Schloss Liechtenstein is a castle in Judenburg, Austria, crowned with a high gabled roof and a Rococo portal bearing the coat of arms of the Königsbrun family. The structure combines stone construction with multiple wings and displays both medieval features and Baroque design elements from later renovations.

The site has roots reaching back to the 12th century when an earlier fortified structure was first mentioned. The present castle was built around 1650 under the influence of Seckau Monastery, which transformed the building into a residential property.

The name comes from Ulrich von Liechtenstein, a medieval knight and poet whose legacy shaped the site's identity. The rooms show how noble families lived and celebrated here, with elaborate ceiling decorations that reflect the wealth of the era.
