Schloss Moosburg, Late Gothic castle in Moosburg, Austria.
The castle stands on a hill, consisting of two four-story buildings with high gabled roofs connected by an eastern arcade to a low southern wing.
The castle dates back to 861, making it one of Austria's oldest inhabited buildings, and has been owned by the Counts of Goëss since 1708.
The Gothic Knights' Hall, ornate stucco ceilings, and historical furnishings reflect the architectural and decorative styles from the period of construction.
The castle functions as a hotel with 17 double rooms, offering restaurant services in its late Gothic hall since 1995 after interior renovations in 1994.
During winter months, guests can request heated mattresses for their beds, while the old tower houses an Ayurvedic treatment center.
