Schloss Ladendorf, Baroque castle in Ladendorf, Austria.
The castle stands on a hilltop north of Ladendorf, featuring a rectangular courtyard layout with four wings and remnants of a defensive moat.
First mentioned in 1170 with Hugo von Ladendorf, the castle changed ownership through centuries until the Huck family acquired it from the Khevenhüller-Metsch dynasty in 1928.
The two-story ceremonial hall, designed by Donato Felice d'Allio, hosted Empress Maria Theresa and her successor Joseph during a noble wedding celebration.
The structure contains 128 windows, with the north wing housing a rectangular chapel room featuring straight altar niches between grooved pilasters.
The castle endured multiple transformations, from a medieval fortress destroyed by Bohemian mercenaries to a baroque palace affected by French troops in 1805 and 1809.
