Church of Nativity of Virgin Mary in Muravanka

The Nativity Church in Muravanka is a brick church with four angular pillars dividing the interior into three naves. These spaces are covered with star-shaped vaults decorated with rhombic patterns.

Construction of this church began in 1524 and it later witnessed war destruction. During the Great Northern War in 1706, Swedish forces under King Charles XII inflicted significant damage.

The church shows features of Belarusian Gothic that reflect the fortified religious buildings of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania. You can see how religious and defensive elements come together in the architecture.
