Tower of Hercules, Ancient Roman lighthouse in Spain
The Tower of Hercules is an ancient Roman lighthouse located on a peninsula about 2.4 kilometers from the center of A Coruña, Galicia, in north-western Spain.
The structure, almost 1900 years old and rehabilitated in 1791, is the oldest Roman lighthouse in use today.
It has been a UNESCO World Heritage site since 2009.
The tower provides a panoramic view of the city and coast.
The Tower of Hercules is known for its statue park featuring works by Pablo Serrano and Francisco Leiro.
