The Plaza de España is a semi-circular brick building, Renaissance/neo-Moorish in style, with a tower at either end.

Built in 1928 for the Ibero-American Exposition of 1929, it is a landmark example of Regionalism Architecture.

It has been used as a filming location, including scenes for the 1962 film Lawrence of Arabia.

The plaza's central canal offers boat rentals for tourists to enjoy.

Its walls are decorated with painted ceramic tiles that depict historical events in each province of Spain.
