Puig de Randa

Puig de Randa rises 542 meters above sea level, standing as an isolated peak in the southern region of Mallorca, with clear views across the Mediterranean landscape.

The mountain gained significance in the 13th century when philosopher Ramon Llull established a hermitage for meditation and wrote several theological works at its summit.

The Sanctuary of Cura at the mountain peak functions as a religious center where local residents participate in traditional ceremonies throughout the calendar year.

Visitors can reach the summit via a 5.5-kilometer paved road from Randa village, with multiple parking areas and rest stops along the ascending path.

The mountain houses three distinct monasteries at different elevations: Cura at the top, Sant Honorat in the middle, and Gracia at the lower section.
