Palace of Charles V, Renaissance palace in Granada, Spain.
The Palace of Charles V is a Renaissance building located on the top of the hill of the Assabica, inside the Nasrid fortification of the Alhambra.
It was commissioned by Charles V, Holy Roman Emperor, who wished to establish his residence close to the Alhambra palaces.
The palace is notable for its circular patio and it's considered one of the most important examples of Renaissance architecture in Spain.
Today, the Palace of Charles V houses two museums: The Museum of the Alhambra and the Fine Arts Museum of Granada.
