Parc de l'Espanya Industrial, Urban park in Sants-Montjuïc, Spain

Parc de l'Espanya Industrial is an urban park near Sants railway station covering approximately 4.6 hectares in this Barcelona neighborhood. It includes an artificial lake with white steps, nine tower-like structures, basketball courts, ping-pong tables, and play areas for children.

The site was formerly home to La España Industrial textile mill until the 1970s when it was abandoned. Local community movements blocked plans for residential development and transformed the space into a public park.

Sculptures from 1929 are displayed throughout the green spaces, including Neptune by Manuel Fuxà and Venus by José Pérez Peresejo. These artworks reflect the artistic legacy of that era and give the space a gallery-like quality when you walk through it.

The park is open until midnight on weekdays and until 11 PM on weekends, providing plenty of space for walking and relaxing. The different activity areas are easy to find and the pathways are accessible for visitors of all ages.

A metal dragon sculpture 32 meters wide by Andrés Nagel serves as both an art installation and a functioning slide for children. This blend of public art and play equipment shows the park's creative approach to engaging visitors of all ages.
