Refugi Prat d'Aguiló

The Refugi Prat d'Aguiló stands at 1997 meters elevation in the Cadí mountain range, offering shelter with 32 sleeping spaces for mountaineers and hikers.

The mountain refuge opened its doors on October 24, 1976, becoming an integral part of the trail network connecting shelters in the Cadí-Moixeró Natural Park.

This mountain shelter exemplifies vernacular architecture through its construction methods and materials, earning recognition as a Cultural Asset of Catalonia.

Visitors can reach the refuge via a three-hour hike from Montellà, following marked trails that lead through the northern slope of Pas dels Gosolans.

The refuge serves as a base for accessing Comabona peak at 2,548 meters and connects to other mountain shelters through the Cavalls del Vent trail system.
