Torre del Verger

The circular stone tower stands at 150 meters above sea level on the western coast of Mallorca, offering views of the Mediterranean Sea.

The tower was constructed in 1600 as part of Mallorca's coastal defense network to detect and communicate the presence of pirates through fire signals.

The tower holds the designation of bien de interés cultural, marking its status as a protected monument within Spain's architectural heritage system.

Visitors can reach the tower via Carrer de la Baronia or carretera d'Estellencs, with a moderate 2.4-kilometer hike featuring a 97-meter elevation gain.

The structure retains its original circular design with thick stone walls, positioned strategically to enable surveillance across multiple directions of the coastline.
