Casa cuna de Urazurrutia

The modernist building features a decorated facade combining neo-Mudéjar elements with brick, tiles, and stone materials on Urazurrutia street.

Architect Ricardo Bastida designed this structure in 1914 to provide childcare services for working mothers with children under three years old.

The main entrance displays a sculptural group called La Caridad, created in 1914 by Federico Sáenz Venturini at Basterra's request.

The building underwent renovation in 2021 and transformed into an innovation center, maintaining its status as a Basque government heritage site.

An additional floor was added in 1939, intentionally designed with a slight projection over the original facades to differentiate the new construction.
