Aqua Dome Längenfeld, Thermal bath complex in Längenfeld, Austria
Aqua Dome Längenfeld is a thermal bath complex with three large outdoor pools shaped like bowls, surrounded by the mountains of the Ötztal. The facility spreads across 22,000 square meters with twelve pools, waterfalls, and relaxation areas built from stone, wood, and glass.
The thermal springs of Längenfeld were discovered in the 16th century and emerge from 6,000 feet (1,800 meters) underground with mineral-rich water containing sulfur compounds. The modern complex was built to make these natural resources accessible to visitors.
The facility reflects Austria's wellness tradition, which shapes how visitors use the space today: people come to dedicate time to self-care and body restoration. The building itself expresses this philosophy through natural materials like stone and wood that echo the surrounding Ötztal landscape.
The pools are heated to temperatures between 34 and 36 degrees Celsius (93-96 degrees Fahrenheit), with separate areas for families and adults seeking relaxation. It helps to check what time of day is less crowded, especially during peak seasons.
On Friday nights, the complex extends hours until midnight, when guests can bathe to live music and dining experiences. These sessions offer a different feel compared to daytime visits.
