The mountain area evolved from a traditional alpine pasture region into a modern recreational destination with the installation of the Hochkarbahn chairlift system.

The mountain maintains the Austrian tradition of alpine farming during summer months, when local farmers tend to their cattle in the high-altitude pastures.

Visitors can access the summit via a four-seater chairlift followed by a 20-minute walk, with online tickets providing a 10 percent discount on regular prices.

The summit features a 360-degree Skytour platform where visitors can observe the landscape while standing at the highest point of the Göstling Alps.
