Schloss Freiberg, Renaissance castle in Ludersdorf-Wilfersdorf, Austria.
The stone castle stands on an elevation of 423 meters, featuring thick walls, an ancient gate, and stone sculptures throughout its grounds.
Built in the 12th century by the Freynberger family, the castle received its first written mention in 1472 and underwent Renaissance modifications in 1636.
During the 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s, the castle functioned as an artistic center where numerous Austrian artists gathered and exhibited their works.
The ground floor contains a restaurant and a bookbinding workshop, making the castle an active destination for visitors throughout the year.
The castle incorporated the vanished Mühlhausen castle and its associated lordship into its territory in 1679.
