Sankt Georg, Gothic parish church in Schärding, Austria.
The Sankt Georg church features a single-nave structure with Corinthian pilasters and white walls adorned with religious artworks and sculptures.
The construction of Sankt Georg began in 1307 under Ritter Ludwig der Grans, transforming Schärding from a sub-parish to an independent parish.
The church interior displays a notable altar piece from 1817 depicting the Nativity, complemented by additional altars dedicated to saints.
Located in the central square of Schärding, the church maintains regular worship services and houses four bells cast in 1839.
The church underwent reconstruction after bombardment damage in 1703, leading to its transformation from Gothic to Baroque architectural elements.
