Wasserleonburg Castle stands at the foot of Mount Dobratsch, featuring a Renaissance courtyard and architectural elements from multiple centuries.
The castle, first documented in 1253 as Lewenburch, sustained damage during the 1348 earthquake that caused a landslide on Mount Dobratsch.
The castle chapel, constructed in 1753, displays decorative elements while the former horse stable now functions as an event venue.
The castle operates as a private residence with holiday apartments and offers guided tours for groups through advance reservations.
Edward VIII and Wallis Simpson selected this castle as their honeymoon destination, staying from June through September 1937.
