Lingqu, Ancient canal in China
The Lingqu is one of the oldest canals in the world.
Constructed in 214 BCE during the Qin dynasty.
Connects the Yangtze River basin to the Pearl River basin.
Listed as a Major Historical and Cultural Site Protected at the National Level.
The Lingqu is on the tentative list for UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
