The 'Pagoda of Fogong Temple' is a wooden Chinese pagoda located in Ying County, Shanxi province, China.
Built by Emperor Daozong in 1056 during the Liao Dynasty, it's one of the oldest wooden buildings in the world.
It symbolizes the brilliant achievements of wooden-structure buildings in ancient China.
The pagoda is now part of a Major Historical and Cultural Site Protected at the National Level.
Unique for its octagonal base and bracket set structure, it stands an impressive 67.31m high.
