Danmarks Flymuseum, Aviation museum at Stauning Airport, Denmark.
Danmarks Flymuseum is an aviation museum located at Stauning Airport that houses about 60 aircraft from different eras. The collection includes gliders, fighter aircraft, and helicopters, some of which remain airworthy.
The museum was founded in 1971 by aviation enthusiasts under the name Dansk Veteranflysamling. It received its current name after a major expansion in 2006.
The museum displays KZ aircraft manufactured by Scandinavian Aero Industry between 1937 and 1954, which hold special importance in Danish aviation history. Visitors can see these rare machines in the hangars and understand the craftsmanship involved in their design.
The grounds are fully wheelchair accessible, with guided tours available that provide a thorough overview of the collection. The museum also has a restaurant and aviation-themed shop for visitors who want to spend time on-site.
The museum's restoration department keeps several aircraft in flying condition, enabling actual flight demonstrations during special events. This living preservation approach transforms the collection into something more than a static display.
