Munkerup

Munkerup is a holiday home area located along the coast between Dronningmølle and Gilleleje in northern Zealand. The district features numerous vacation homes positioned near sandy beaches and green open spaces.

The area developed as a vacation destination in the early 20th century when Danish families began building summer homes along the coast. This tradition continues to shape the character of the locality today.

The houses here follow traditional Danish coastal style with wooden frames and large windows that take advantage of sea views and natural light.

Most homes have fully equipped kitchens, outdoor terraces, and parking available for guests. Local shops and amenities can be found in the nearby towns of Dronningmølle and Gilleleje.

The location experiences extended daylight hours during summer months, allowing beach activities to continue well into the evening hours. It remains quieter than some of Denmark's more well-known coastal destinations.
