Grønnegårds Teatret

Grønnegårds Teatret operates on garden grounds behind Designmuseum Danmark and Odd Fellow Palæ, hosting theatrical performances from June through August. The stage sits within landscaped surroundings that form a natural setting for the performances.

The venue was founded in 1982 and operated from its original location behind Designmuseum Danmark until 2019. That year marked an expansion to include performances at Odd Fellow Palæet.

The theatre features both classical works and contemporary productions, drawing audiences who appreciate outdoor performances in a garden setting during warm months.

The gardens open two hours before each performance, giving visitors time to settle in with food brought from home or purchased at the venue. Being outdoors means arriving early enough to find a comfortable spot on the lawn.
