Warehouse 9

Warehouse 9 is an art gallery and performance venue housed in a former stable and storage building. The space accommodates visual art exhibitions, musical performances, and theatrical shows all under one roof.

The building opened in 2007 after Jørgen Callesen and Christian van Schijndel converted it into a cultural space. This transformation of an industrial structure created a new home for experimental artists.

The name refers to its former use as a storage area in the industrial complex. The space has become a gathering point where artists present experimental work and visitors from different backgrounds come together.

Since 2008 the International Performance Art Festival has brought together artists from different countries. Audiences encounter experimental works that differ from what mainstream theatres typically show.
