Wedellsborg

Wedellsborg is a manor house in Husby featuring extensive agricultural lands and forest areas across western Denmark. The estate comprises fields, working farmland, and woodland that form an integrated property.

Henrik Knudsen Gyldenstierne, an Imperial Council member, began construction of the manor house in the 16th century. The property later evolved into a substantial agricultural operation under Danish nobility.

The manor showcases a Danish estate tradition where farming and forestry remain central to daily operations. Walking through the grounds, you witness how working land and historic buildings coexist in this region.

The grounds are accessible only on foot since vehicles are not permitted on the property. Plan for extended walks across the estate and wear sturdy footwear for varied terrain.

In 1923 this manor merged with the neighboring Frijsenborg estate through an inheritance by Inger Wedell. This consolidation created one of Denmark's largest combined agricultural properties under single management.
