Dunas de Corrubedo and Lagoas de Carregal e Vixán Natural Park

The park encompasses 996 hectares of coastal landscape with a moving dune measuring 1 kilometer long, 250 meters wide, and 20 meters high.

The protected area received its official natural park designation on June 5, 1992, following initiatives to preserve its ecological systems and coastal formations.

The Galicia Coastal Ecosystems Interpretation Centre provides educational programs about local marine environments and traditional fishing practices of the region.

Visitors can access the park through two main entrances at O Vilar and Olveira, with five marked trails leading through different ecological zones.

The park contains two distinct lagoons: Vixán with fresh water and Carregal with salt water, supporting over 35 species of waterfowl and 247 plant varieties.
