Naudvaris manor

Naudvaris manor is a residential estate in Panevėžys District comprising eight surviving buildings from the mid-1800s. The structures feature romantic classicism architecture and were designed as both living quarters and working facilities for agricultural and industrial operations.

The estate was purchased in 1787 by Stanislovas Kerbedis and remained in family hands across generations. Significant modifications during the 1800s shaped its current form before state ownership took over in 1940.

The manor demonstrates how landowners integrated productive facilities into their estates during the 19th century. Visitors can see how the buildings reflect both residential comfort and commercial enterprise.

The site sits in a rural area and requires some planning to visit. Sturdy footwear is advisable since pathways around the grounds may be uneven and conditions vary with the season.

Before World War II, a resident named Valerijonas Straševičius assembled a notable butterfly collection within the manor's rooms. This fascinating pursuit hints at the intellectual leisure interests of educated families during that era.
