Paežeriai Manor

Paežeriai Manor is a two-story residence built with Classicist design, featuring balanced facade proportions, regular window placement, and a dominant central entrance. The site includes a Gothic Revival tower, stables, and distillery buildings arranged around the main house, now functioning as a museum and cultural center.

Construction took place between 1795 and 1799 under the supervision of Szymon Zabiełło as part of the development of Lithuania's noble estates. The manor emerged during a period when such properties represented key economic and social centers in rural regions.

The estate demonstrates how the landed gentry organized their homes and working spaces, with outbuildings like stables and a distillery showing the practical side of manor life. Visitors can sense how the complex functioned as both residence and productive agricultural center.

The manor operates as part of the Suvalkija Regional Cultural Centre-Museum with regular visiting hours for tourists. Allow time to walk through both the main residence and the surrounding outbuildings, especially during pleasant weather when the grounds are most enjoyable.

A roughly 17-meter-high Gothic Revival tower stands on the grounds and allows visitors to see across the surrounding Lithuanian countryside from its elevation. This distinctive structure was added later and creates an interesting architectural contrast with the Classicist main residence.
