Lunde barneskole

Lunde barneskole is a primary school in Skien located at the top of a hill above Ibsenhuset, overlooking the Lundedalen valley. The building includes specialized classrooms for music, food preparation, and arts, along with administrative sections for daily operations.

The school was founded roughly 150 years ago and marked this milestone in 2012 with the completion of a new building. The new structure replaced the original building and modernized the facility for contemporary educational needs.

The school maintains a Welcome Class program for international students from grades two through seven, representing nearly 50 different nationalities within its student body.

The school is located at Lundegata 17 and can be reached by public transport or on foot. Keep in mind this is an active school in daily operation, so arranging a visit in advance is recommended.

Every autumn the school holds an International Week around United Nations Day, where students raise funds for a partner school in Congo. This yearly activity connects the local community to global concerns and shows the school's commitment to global citizenship.
