Vallersund Gård, Heritage farm in Ørland, Norway
Vallersund Gård is a heritage farm located along the Norwegian coast in the Trøndelag region, featuring traditional agricultural buildings and outdoor spaces distributed across the property. The site includes multiple structures serving different purposes and green areas overlooking the sea.
The property was established in the 1700s when the Normann family from Trondheim founded a trading post with fish reception facilities. In 1981, the farm was transformed into a Camphill community and has served this new purpose since then.
The property operates as a Camphill community where residents with varying needs live and work together in farming and artistic workshops throughout the year. Visitors can observe how these activities shape daily life and what role they play in the rhythm of the place.
The farm is located in the municipalities of Bjugn and Ørland along the coast and can be reached by car, with the seaside location making the drive scenic. Educational programs about sustainable practices and farming are available for visiting groups.
The site features several bronze sculptures distributed across the grounds that give the space an artistic character. A planned new building called IDAblikk will offer panoramic sea views spanning 180 degrees and extend the facilities.
