Manila Metropolitan Theater, Theatre in Manila, Philippines.
Manila Metropolitan Theater is a beautifully designed art deco building by architect Juan M. Arellano.
Historically significant, the theater was inaugurated on December 10, 1931.
It represents an important part of Filipino culture and heritage, being recognized as a National Cultural Treasure.
After years of neglect, it was restored and reopened in 2020.
Being a scarce surviving example of pre-World War II grandeur, its unique attribute is the visually stunning facade enriched with native symbolism.
