Peranakan Museum

The Peranakan Museum is a cultural museum in Bras Basah housed within a historic school building spread across three floors. The collection displays over 800 objects that document the origins, domestic life, and artistic traditions of Peranakan communities across Southeast Asia.

The building was constructed in 1912 as a school with classical architectural details like fluted columns and symmetrical design. It was later transformed into a museum to preserve and tell the story of Peranakan heritage.
