Bidadari Park, Nature park in Bidadari, Singapore.
Bidadari Park is a nature park in Singapore featuring preserved woodlands across approximately 13 hectares with multiple walking pathways throughout. The space combines natural forest areas with modern infrastructure to create a green retreat within the city.
The land was previously the Bidadari Cemetery, which held approximately 68,000 Malay graves until the relocation in 2006. This transformation from burial ground to recreational space represents a significant change in how the area is used today.
The name Bidadari means fairy in Malay, and this concept shapes how the space feels when you walk through it with natural woodlands meeting modern pathways. Visitors experience the area as a retreat where nature dominates the landscape rather than human structures.
The park is open 24 hours daily and accessible via Woodleigh MRT station and several bus routes serving the area. Pathways have lighting from 7 PM to 7 AM, allowing safe visits at different times of day.
The park features a 20-meter tall platform built specifically for raptors, the first of its kind in Singapore. This structure provides nesting sites for white-bellied sea eagles and stands out as an unusual feature in the city's green spaces.
