Nong Khae

Nong Khae is an administrative district in the southern region of Saraburi province, comprising eighteen sub-districts and 181 villages spread across roughly 262 square kilometers. The area hosts multiple industrial estates that support regional economic growth and employment.

The district connects to early periods of Thai history through its water routes, which held strategic importance during the Ayutthaya Kingdom era. The Na Roeng Canal linked this area to the Pa Sak River, serving as a vital connection for movement and trade.

The district's name reflects its water-filled landscape, as 'Nong' means lake or pond in Thai. These bodies of water have shaped how residents live and work, influencing daily routines and land use patterns throughout the communities.

The district is straightforward to navigate, with decent road infrastructure connecting villages and industrial areas throughout the region. The cooler months following the rainy season offer the best conditions for getting around and experiencing the area.
