Ananda Mahidol Hospital

The Ananda Mahidol Hospital features a reinforced concrete structure with arched ceilings and a symmetrical rectangular plan spread across two floors.

Field Marshal Plaek Pibul Songkram initiated the hospital construction in 1937 as part of relocating governmental offices from Bangkok to Lopburi.

The building combines Neo Classical and Art Deco architectural elements, reflecting the design preferences of Thai infrastructure during the late 1930s.

The hospital functions as both a military and public healthcare facility, offering emergency care, outpatient services, and specialized medical treatments.

In 2008, the Association of Siamese Architects Under Royal Patronage recognized the hospital with an Architectural Conservation Award.
