Central Scherbakov Park of Culture and Leisure

Located on 62 hectares between Universytetska Street and Shakhtar Stadium, Central Scherbakov Park features paved pathways, ponds, and extensive green spaces.

Established in 1932 with the help of 10,000 youth volunteers, the park initially bore the name of Pavel Postyshev before being renamed after Alexander Scherbakov in 1938.

The central pedestrian bridge, stretching 330 meters across the city pond, serves as a traditional location for wedding ceremonies and celebrations.

The park contains 23 mechanical attractions, boat rentals for the ponds, and remains open from 8:00 to 24:00 in summer and 10:00 to 21:00 in winter.

The park includes Ukraine's largest rosarium, containing more than 30,000 rose bushes, alongside a Japanese garden with artificial lakes and waterfalls.
