Монумент «Солдатам правопорядку», Law enforcement memorial in central Mykolaiv, Ukraine.
The monument features a three-meter copper warrior figure holding a sword and shield, mounted on a pink granite pedestal at the intersection of Central Avenue and Sadova Street.
Built in 1977 to commemorate the 60th anniversary of Soviet police, the monument honors law enforcement officers from Mykolaiv region who died during World War II and in service.
The monument became a gathering place for police veterans and citizens during Police Day celebrations and other official ceremonies until its destruction in October 2022.
The memorial stood at a central intersection, making it accessible from multiple directions and visible from different parts of the city center.
The warrior statue, made of forged copper reinforced with a steel frame, represented the direct involvement of internal affairs officers in combat operations.
