The Ritz London, Five-star hotel at Piccadilly, London, England
The Ritz London features 231 feet of neoclassical architecture with green copper lions at the pavilion roof corners and gilt-bronze framed mirrors.
Swiss hotelier César Ritz established this hotel in 1906, eight years after opening the Paris location, making it a meeting point for politicians during World War I.
The Palm Court maintains Louis XVI style decorations and serves as the central location for the traditional British afternoon tea service.
The hotel contains luxury suites, Michelin-starred restaurants, and function rooms in the converted Wimbourne House for events and celebrations.
In 2002, The Ritz London became the first hotel to receive a Royal Warrant from the Prince of Wales for its banqueting services.
