St Moluag's Cathedral, Lismore

The remains of this religious structure include an aisle-less choir functioning as a parish church, with foundations of a nave and west tower.

Built around 1300, the cathedral served as the seat of the Diocese of Argyll, replacing an earlier church established by Saint Moluag in the 6th century.

The cathedral preserves medieval grave slabs in its churchyard, along with architectural features such as triple-arched sedilia and traditional doorways from different periods.

Sunday services take place at 12:30 PM, with Communion celebrations held on the first Sunday of March, June, September, and December.

The building incorporates stained glass windows crafted by Mary Isobel Wood, depicting Saint Moluag and Saint Columba in detailed religious artistry.
