Tolleshunt D'Arcy, Rural civil parish in Maldon district, Essex, England

The village lies eight miles east of Maldon, bordered by the River Blackwater estuary to the south and Tiptree Heath to the north.

The settlement's name combines Tolleshunta, meaning Toll's spring from Anglo-Saxon origins, with D'Arcy, added when John D'Arcy acquired the estate through marriage in the 15th century.

The village maintains its traditional center around the Maypole, with St Nicholas Church dating from 1380 and regular community events at the Village Hall.

The Recreation Ground provides residents with a children's play area, outdoor gym equipment, and sports facilities at the Pavilion for year-round activities.

D'Arcy House, built in Queen Anne style, served as home to notable horticulturist Dr. John Salter and author Margery Allingham, commemorated by blue plaques.
