12 Downing Street, Government office in London
12 Downing Street is a building situated in Whitehall in central London, England.
It was originally three properties, but has been used as the office of the Chief Whip since 1782.
The building's facade is well-known for its black door with the number '12' painted in white.
It is not open to the public and can only be viewed from the street.
Despite its iconic status, the interior of 12 Downing Street has been extensively remodeled.
