St Andrew's Church, Gibraltar

St Andrew's Church is a church building located at Governor's Parade in Gibraltar, distinguished by its stained glass windows depicting St Andrew, Christ, and St Columba. The structure stands near the Garrison Library and the O'Callaghan Eliott Hotel.

The church opened in 1854 as a garrison building created specifically for Scottish soldiers posted to this British territory. A pipe organ was installed in 1905 and later supported the development of musical activities there.

The church served as a gathering place for people from different backgrounds who shared Presbyterian and Reformed Christian practices. It maintained close connections with Scottish religious communities throughout its time here.

The church was previously open on weekdays from 11:00 to 13:00 and held Sunday services at 10:30. Access was straightforward, though visitors needed to respect posted opening times.

The pipe organ and its musical heritage later inspired the creation of St Andrew's Music Academy with multiple tutors offering lessons on site. This educational initiative showed how the building influenced community life beyond its religious role.
