Alderman Proctor's Drinking Fountain, Gothic Revival drinking fountain in Clifton, Bristol, England
The limestone structure features pink marble columns, white marble surrounds, and a three-sided spirelet set upon Pennant stone steps at its base.
In 1872, Alderman Thomas Proctor commissioned architects George and Henry Godwin to design this fountain to mark the 1861 presentation of Clifton Down.
The fountain displays three distinct coat of arms: Bristol city, the Society of Merchant Venturers, and Alderman Thomas Proctor on its carved shield panels.
Located at coordinates 51.461609, -2.625837, the fountain stands near the Mansion House after its 1987 relocation from Bridge Valley Road.
The structure received Grade II listed building protection in 1977, marking its importance among Bristol's 40 public drinking fountains established by 1906.
