Button's Mill, Tower mill in Diss, England
Button's Mill stands six stories tall with a domed cap and cylindrical brick structure measuring 33 feet in diameter at its base point.
The mill began operations in 1817 when Thomas Jay constructed it with eight sails, making it one of the largest mills in the Norfolk region.
The mill represents the agricultural development of Norfolk, where grain processing facilities supported local farmers and food production throughout the 19th century.
Following its conversion in 1973, the former mill structure now serves as a residential property located on Victoria Road in Diss.
The mill originally featured an unusual configuration of eight sails with three shutters in each of the eight bays, operated by rack and pinion mechanisms.
