Eling Tide Mill, Grade II* listed tide mill in Totton and Eling, England

The mill operates by harnessing tidal forces from Eling Creek to power two independent waterwheels designed for grinding wheat into flour.

The current structure dates from 1785, following reconstruction after storm damage in the 1770s, with Winchester College maintaining ownership through centuries.

The Eling Tide Mill Experience provides educational programs about historical milling practices, local agriculture, and the role of tidal energy in food production.

Visitors can access the mill from Wednesday to Sunday between 9:30 AM and 4:00 PM, with a free parking area located across the toll bridge.

This functional tide mill represents one of only two remaining operational structures of its type in the United Kingdom.
