Gilbertfield Castle, 17th-century castle ruins in Cambuslang, Scotland.
The L-shaped tower house stands on the north slope of Dechmont Hill, featuring two round turrets and multiple floors with vaulted basement chambers.
Built in 1607 as part of the Drumsagard barony, the castle belonged to Sir John Cunningham before passing to the Hamilton family in subsequent years.
William Hamilton of Gilbertfield translated Blind Harry's medieval poem about William Wallace while residing in the castle during the early 1700s.
The castle remains are currently inaccessible to visitors due to structural instability, with significant portions having collapsed in the 1950s and 1960s.
A heraldic panel displaying the year 1607 remains visible above the castle's entrance, marking the exact construction date of this Scottish monument.
